We are a husband and wife team obsessed with all things 'story'. When we're not working on our own projects (novels, screenplays) we can be found reading up on the craft of writing, watching new material from our favorite writing instructors, or picking apart the movies and books we love (and hate).

Kodie is the main service provider here at Story Doctors. She works as a literary agent and has years of professional editorial experience under her belt. She is currently agented for her own work but self-published her first book back in 2022, so she's familiar with all areas of the publishing world, including querying and synopsis creation, typesetting, cover design, editing, book promotion/marketing, and more.

In addition to her publishing experience, Kodie holds a BA Psychology and has worked as both a Certified Life Coach and temperament counsellor. She led a thriving business in this field with a diverse clientele pre-COVID, and is well versed guiding others toward personal development and well being.

Michael holds a BA Sociology and is a registered school teacher. At Story Doctors, you can find him fielding initial client inquiries and helping with administrative and marketing tasks. A connoisseur of story, Michael may sometimes also take over consultations, especially those that involve initial story plotting and troubleshooting manuscripts that 'just don't work'.
